Consulting in education delivery, professional development, leadership training, and Web based support.  Over twenty-five years of experience in classroom education and professional development and leadership, recently focusing on Web delivery of professional development and online teaching.

Education and Web technology's rapidly changing landscape defies traditional definitions and invites innovation and exploration.  It is an endless journey of learning.  A key understanding held here is that the technology exists to support the best educational practice.  No matter how impressive, the technology is only worth what it can do to get the real work done.

Leaf Cycles, Ltd. is a name that has been around for several years serving to identify various pieces of work in bicycle maintenance and repair, bicycle rides and training on the cycling side, and personalized computer programming and office place consulting on the computer side. I'm afraid I've gotten a little behind in Windows(tm) programming though.

On the education side, I do professional development training and consulting for educators under this name. Leaf Cycles is just a catch all name for a number of self-employed and consulting sorts of things.  As computer oriented work moved more and more Onto the Web, Jaezz Designs was created.

Jaezz Designs is a relatively new name which I now use with computer graphics and World Wide Web page design. Neither of these do I undertake at a high level of expertise, but simplicity is much more cost effective, and often, more market effective, as it is almost universally accessible.

Jaezz Designs was a winner in a Microsoft Web Site Builder contest in 1996 with the simple design you may have seen for the Seward Montessori Middle School site, now defunct. You may have taken a look at the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers and Educational Assistants, AFT Local 59 web site, too.  This too I have passed off to others.

Both of these represent activities that are of interest to me and with which I have some familiarity and skill. These are also activities I undertake for modest sums, as both take considerable time away from my family.

If you are interested in hiring my services, please write me via e-mail and include your name, phone number (or e-mail address) and a general idea of what you are looking for. I will try to respond as quickly as I can.   I only charge for work, not for consultation.
